There are three ways to connect to iuturna:
- using a standalone IRC client
This is the option most people prefer, because it allows you to pick your own client and customize it entirely to fit your personal needs. You can find a few IRC clients in the links section.
- using the Java IRC applet
With the Java-based client you don't have to install anything on your computer. The only requirement is a webbrowser with support for Java 1.3 or higher. Most recent browsers already have this by default. When the applet doesn't seem to work in your browser, you can try to get the most recent version of Java here. (this applies to most Internet Explorer users)
- using the webbased IRC client
The webbased client allows you to connect when you're behind a firewall that blocks direct access to the IRC server. Supported browsers include Netscape 4.x and higher, Mozilla, Opera, links and Internet Explorer 5.x and higher.
Note: your IP address will be visible to everyone when using this client. Don't use it if this is a problem to you.
